Club Information

The Kirkland Lake Skating Club is a proud member of Skate Canada, our governing body, and has been NCCP Certified Coaches an active member of the community since 1942. The club's longevity and success is due in part to the many individuals who have over the years volunteered their time running the club's day to day operations and also the various fundraising activities we hold which help keep our registration costs affordable

Our NCCP Certified Coach, Tracey Barkell is a Kirkland Lake native and a Skate Canada Gold Test medallist. She, along with our trained volunteer program assistants allow us to provide a wide variety of quality skating programs to skaters of all ages and skill levels. Whether your goal is learning to skate for fun or fitness, or to improve your skills for Hockey or Figure Skating, we have something for you.

Former members of the club include founder of "Champions on Ice" Tommy Collins, World and Olympic Bronze medallist Toller Cranston, and Canadian and International Competitor and coach of World level competitors, Lee Barkell.

Sponsors

A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SPONSORS!

The Kirkland Lake Skating Club has been part of the community since 1942!

As a small non-profit club, we struggle every season with increases in operating expenses, and in order to offer quality CanSkate and Star Skate programs, we require your support. With your help, we can ensure our skating club will continue and that our programs are accessible to the children of Kirkland Lake & surrounding areas.

If you are interested in assisting our club with a donation, please contact Krystal at klscpayments@gmail.com or 705-962-0648.
